About the Role

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of inventory control, including purchasing, receiving, stocking, and tracking inventory levels. The Inventory Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the company's inventory is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and policies to ensure efficient operations

  • Monitor inventory levels and stock rotation to ensure the availability of products

  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies

  • Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory items to minimize damage or loss

  • Analyze inventory data and develop reports to identify trends and forecast future inventory needs

  • Collaborate with other departments, including sales and operations, to ensure accurate inventory forecasting

  • Manage and lead a team of inventory associates, providing training and guidance as needed

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs

  • Identify any potential obsolescence on these parts and mitigating with alternates prior.

  • Modify processes and procedures for shipping, receiving, transport, and inventory control to reduce waste and increase throughput.

  • Document and analyze all materials quality, movement, and use.



Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field

  • Previous experience (minimum 10 years) in a similar Material/ Production planning & Production Master Scheduling role.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team of associates

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite


  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems that may cover – NetSuite, SAP, ORACLE etc.

  • Previous production/materials planning experience within a manufacturing environment.

  • Understanding of S&OP, Demand Management & Forecasting and Supply Plans.

  • Experience in fine tuning and configuring MRP/ DRP systems set up

  • Experienced in maintaining or improving customer service whilst optimising inventory levels & stock availability

  • Good understanding of inventory management concepts & processes.

  • Excellent communication, work collaboratively, build relationships, time management and organisational skills

  • Process and people focused.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem solver.

  • APICS certification a big plus
